Porchetta Pig Roast
Join Slow Food First Coast for an unforgettable experience at the beautiful property of Congaree and Penn. The evening will feature Porchetta, a traditional Italian dish, prepared by Chef Kurt D’Aurizio accompanied by a variety of dishes with Congaree and Penn's products and produce from Eat Your Yard Jax and other local farms. Food partners include Juniper Market, Kitchen on San Marco, Community Loaves and Olive my Pickle.
Slow Food partner farms and businesses have come together with Slow Food First Coast to bring you a dinner and fundraiser like no other. The feast will be complemented by live music, local beer from Intuition and Bold City Brewery, wine, samples from Manifest Distilling and desserts baked by MGP My Grandmother’s Pie. Apple Rabbit Compost will be there collecting compostables including compostable tableware.
Proceeds of this fundraiser will go to help transportation and meal expenses of local delegates to Terra Madre in Turin, Italy for Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, a conference for Slow Food leaders and supporters from across the globe.
