Chef Roderick (Pete) Smith

Chef “Pete”, a Jacksonville native, graduated from Wolfson High School in 1998 before attending the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts in St. Augustine. Chef Pete went on to become a Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Medure in Ponte Vedra Beach. His passion is International Food with Southern Influences. As the new owner of Jax Diner Restaurant in Jacksonville, he’s now back home where he will continue to use his passion to help and support local farmer, vendors and the community to become a better restaurant and city.
