The Candy Apple Café & Cocktails, an award-winning restaurant in Downtown Jacksonville, today announced its updated Cocktail Artist Series program for The FSCJ Artist Series’ 2017-18 season.

The program, now in its third season, showcases custom, limited-run cocktails inspired by productions coming to Jacksonville during the FSCJ Artist Series Broadway in Jacksonville season. All Cocktail Artist Series drinks will be available during their corresponding show’s run dates.

The Cocktail Artist Series for the current season includes:
• Edelweiss, an elderflower liqueur cocktail inspired by Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music (available October 31 through November 5, 2017)
• Hakuna Matata, a chocolate bourbon cocktail with crushed Oreos and gummy worms inspired by Disney’s The Lion King (available January 31 through February 11, 2018)
• Some Kind of Wonderful, a Prosecco cocktail with Pop Rocks inspired by Beautiful, The Carole King Musical (available April 10 through April 15, 2018)
• Razzle Dazzle, a gin and raspberry liqueur cocktail with edible glitter inspired by Chicago (available May 17 through May 20, 2018)

All four Broadway shows will be presented at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. Season packages and select individual tickets are currently on sale at fscjartistseries.org.

The Cocktail Artist Series program started in 2016 with The Martini of the Night, a white chocolate martini inspired by THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The concept expanded to include a full series of five cocktails for The FSCJ Artist Series’ 2016-17 season, which was a popular offering for restaurant guests and Broadway patrons alike.

“Our partnership with The FSCJ Artist Series represents the power of collaboration between the culinary and cultural communities,” said Jennifer Earnest, co-owner of The Candy Apple Café & Cocktails. “We are proud to offer this unique complement to the theater-going experience, and look forward to another season of incredible performances and delicious libations in Downtown Jacksonville.”

In addition to offering theater-inspired cocktails, The Candy Apple Café & Cocktails also offers a pre-show prix fixe menu that is available throughout the year. This menu includes a glass of wine, appetizer, entrée and dessert for $30 per person. To take advantage of this offer, guests must present their show tickets to a server.
