Olive Weekend at Congaree  Penn
Learn more than you ever imagined possible during Olive Weekend at Congaree and Penn Farm.

Visitors to the farm will have the opportunity to learn about growing olives in Florida, participate in olive workshops, take wagon rides, and enjoy olive and wine tastings. Admission is $30 per car and each vehicle will be gifted a Arbequina olive tree or an award-winning bottle of olive oil.

Workshops include:

Olive Oil Tasting, presented by Congaree and Penn's own olive oil sommelier, Trey Hartinger. Learn the properties of what makes good olive oil. Participants will be guided in properly tasting and evaluating various olive oils.

Growing Olive Trees, with Congaree and Penn's farmer Bob Burns. Learn the essentials of growing, pruning and caring for olive trees in Florida.

Wine Tasting, presented by Taverna's Kiley Efron and Lindsay Hass and Stacole Fine Wines Brian Koziol. Sample wines that complement the olive day experience. Learn how to properly taste and evaluat four different wines.
