congaree and penn pumpkin patch
Join Congaree and Penn for a fun, family-friendly day on the farm this fall.

It’s pumpkin season! And what better way to celebrate than with a visit to a local farm. Pick your pumpkin, enjoy the cider garden, and plan for a day of family fun. Farm Cider, beer, wine and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages will be available to enjoy before, during or after the pumpkin picking adventure.  Joining the festivities at dinner time?  Food truck fare will be available on-site.

SCHEDULE

Wednesday - Saturday | 10:00 am - 8:30 pm
Sunday | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Prices start at $5 per pumpkin and vary by size.

Here are some common questions:

Q: Does Congaree and Penn grow the pumpkins at the farm?
A: They don't. Unfortunately, pumpkins don't grow well on their land, but they are lucky enough to know great Virginia farmers who share their pumpkins with Floridians.

Q: How much do the pumpkins cost?
A: Mini pumpkins are $5. Small pumpkins are $10. Medium pumpkins are $10. Large pumpkins and heirloom are $15. Prize Winning pumpkins (they’re huge!) are $75.

Q: What are the pumpkin patch's hours?
A: The pumpkin patch will be open October 10th through the 19th, Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00 am - 8:30 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Q: What else can I do at Congaree and Penn?
A: There’s a whole farm to enjoy. Sip some cider (or beer and wine), enjoy a farm tour (Fridays and Sundays at 10:30 am), let the kids run free, take your dog on a walk, take yourself on a walk, and savor the outdoors.

Q: Does the patch accept credit cards?
A: Of course; they live in 2018, too.

Q: Can you make reservations?
A: No.

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A:  Well behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome. Please clean up after Fido (and take the droppings with you, even if you've used a biodegradable bag), and please keep your canine companions away from the chickens and goats.

Q: Do I need to worry about snakes and alligators (and lions and tigers and bears) at the farm?
A: Not really. They've never seen an alligator at the farm. They haven't seen a snake in over a year. The wildest thing you'll likely see is their rooster (steer clear). But the great outdoors is full of surprises.
