Mixology series at Lightner Museum
Lightner Museum Educator, Elizabeth Graham will be hosting this month's "Summer Mixology Series".

To celebrate the summer in style, the Lightner Museum will be evolving its Lightner After Hours program into a Summer Mixology Series. The second of the series, featuring gin, will be held July 27th, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the museum’s Historic Pool Area.

Tickets are $45.00 and are available online by visiting

The Lightner Museum is adding new programming to compliment the upcoming Dressing Downton™ exhibition, coming October, 2017. The Summer Mixology Series will seek to highlight the social trends of the Gilded Era, one of the more popular and iconic changes being the development of the cocktail. Guests will be able to sample specialty-crafted cocktails featuring Manifest Distilling products, and enjoy food-pairings while also learning how to entertain with ease and style in their own homes.

“It will be as if Martha Stewart and F. Scott Fitzgerald were in attendance”, said Lightner Museum Educator Elizabeth Graham.

Taking place once a month, each mixology event will focus on one particular spirit, its history in America, and how it is best paired with particular flavors. Guests will be able to sample featured crafted cocktails and food pairings

The Lightner Museum is pleased to welcome Manifest Distilling and The Perfect Pour as sponsors for its “Summer Mixology Series”.

Manifest Distilling is the only full-scale distillery located in Jacksonville and has quickly made a name for itself by producing award-winning vodka and gin and ensuring their ingredients are from the highest quality sources. The Lightner Museum is delighted to be highlighting their products and welcoming members of the Manifest team, David Cohen and Tom Johnson, to lead the discussion on distilling practices and processes and the inherent nature of spirits.

The Perfect Pour will help serve the specially-made spirits for guests to sample. Their well-regarded professionalism will add the perfect touch to our summer series.

The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses, and sponsors.  Donations are appreciated.
