Sunday Supper Launch Party
With issue two hot off the press, it was time to take a moment and thank all of the generous supporters who have provided encouragement from day one. What better way to celebrate the launch of Edible Northeast Florida than to gather friends and family at a community Sunday Supper for a casual evening of food and general merry-making, hosted by Liz Grenamyer, Gina Smith and the team at Bottega di Bella Sera. The potluck meal reflected our mission - to showcase the amazing food talent available throughout the region while bringing people together - and the abundance of culinary delights ensured that no one left hungry.
While amazing food may have been part of the focal point of the evening (who made that mushroom risotto anyway?), the conversations amongst friends new and old highlighted the value of gathering together to share a meal. It was delightful watching connections being made, relationships developing, future engagements promised, while enjoying the melodies by singer/songwriter Lauren Gilliam of The Willowacks.
