North Beach Kick-off to Golf Event
On Monday, October 3, the Web.com Tour Championship and Beaches Town Center (BTC) are partnering on a high-end evening to celebrate the Web.com Tour Championship being held at Atlantic Beach Country Club October 6-9, as well as showcase the quintessence of everything the Beaches Town Center has to offer. From featured restaurants of the Neptune and Atlantic Beach neighborhoods, exclusive St. Augustine Distillery cocktails and craft beer garden to LIVE music, a singer/songwriter village and merchant marketplace, the North Beach Kick-off to Golf is an inaugural event that aims to provide attendees with a hyper-local experience, while generating excitement for the tournament, taking place for the first time at Atlantic Beach Country Club.
The event’s epicenter will be located in the middle of Atlantic Boulevard from East Coast Drive to First Street. Located here will be the Epicurean Food Village where featured BTC restaurants will serve up delicious bites direct from their kitchens. Attendees will be lured into the village by their senses and will have the option to taste each vendor’s cuisine before settling in with a craft beer, cocktail, or premium wine for the evening’s main stage performances. Participating restaurants include: Mezza Restaurant & Bar, Ocean 60, Flying Iguana, Ragtime Tavern, Slider’s Seafood Grille, and Hawkers Asian Street Fare.
To encourage North Beach Kick-off to Golf attendees to explore the evening’s highlights, streets will be closed off to ensure an easy transition between the Craft Beer Garden and St. Augustine Distillery tents. Premium wines will also be served and merchants from the Beaches Town Center will spill a curated collection of their store onto First Street to further entice patrons to continue south towards the Courtyard at 200 First Street where local singer/songwriters will perform including: Mere Woodward, Katie Grace Helow, and Calahoney.
Should attendees choose to make the main hub their destination for the evening, they’ll be entertained by the following main stage acts throughout the evening:
– Bonnie Blue – Brings their own formula of old-fashioned rock, soul and blues.
– Saltwater Grass – A double blues cocktail made with a splash of reggae and twists of harp and sax poured over cool Latin rhythms then shaken and stirred.
– The Corbitt-Clampitt Experience – A newly reimagined blues and soul explosion combining Brady Clampitt’s multi-instrumentalist skills with the unique, insanely talented harmonica playing of Isaac Corbitt.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Beaches Town Center on this exciting evening of food, drinks, and entertainment,” says Web.com Tour championship tournament manager Adam Renfroe, “The 2016 Web.com Tour Championship will incorporate the look and feel of the beaches area as we mesh one of the top locales in Northeast Florida with rising PGA Tour stars who will soon become household names.”
The North Beach Kick-off to Golf is free to attend and will take place from 5pm to 9pm on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Beaches Town Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Beaches Town Center, the central business district of the Neptune and Atlantic Beach neighborhoods. All alcohol tents will be CASH ONLY. Locals are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes; parking will be available throughout the Beaches Town Center except where street closures are being enforced.
