Kids in the kitchen teaching them to cook at home in Northeast Florida

Here are four easy tips for getting your kids involved with their food:

GET KIDS PICKING
Visit a U-Pick farm in the area and let kids be part of harvesting their own food.

GROW SOMETHING GREEN
Check with your child's school and ask about ways to get involved with the school's gardening program. If they don't have one, become an advocate.

MAKE IT A FAMILY AFFAIR
Sign up for a family plot at your local community garden or cultivate a few containers with plants at home. Make it a new routine to grow, harvest and enoy fresh foods with your kids.

CELEBRATE FRUITS & VEGETABLES
Cut produce in funky shapes and tell stories about where it’s from.
