Enjoy workshops, tastings and adventure hikes around the farm.

It’s Explore the Farm Day at Congaree and Penn. Hike through the hidden nooks of their 350 acres, learn the properties of excellent olive oil, sharpen your honey tasting skills, learn the basics of raising chickens or simply enjoy the farm at your own leisure.

Hit the workshops, fuel up with a drink from the taproom, and enjoy lunch by guest food truck Streaming the Bullet. It’s your Saturday. Plan it however you’d like.

The Workshops

Nature Walk + Art Adventure: Budding artists will join art teacher Bethany Kaisharis of Art Darling for a nature walk and art creating adventure.

Farm Tour: Hop on a tractor pulled farm wagon and enjoy a cruise through the farm. Your guide will make frequent stops to point out what's growing and what's happening at Congaree and Penn.

Pony Pet & Bubble Bath: Meet Charley and Moose, Congaree and Penn's own steeds! Pet and brush the horses, suds them up, and treat them to apples and carrots.

Honey Tasting + Beekeeping: Join Bee Friends Farm for an educational honey tasting and a hive breakdown. Learn about keeping bees in Northeast Florida, the partnership between Bee Friends Farm and Congaree and Penn, and the benefits of local honey.

Cheese Making: Learn the art of making cheese with Nick Zimmer, a Wisconsin native and cheese fanatic! He'll break down the basics of this delectable food and teach participants how to make simple cheeses at the farm and in their own home. Guests will make two different cheese varieties.

Founders Tree Tour: Explore the tree nursery and orchards with Congaree and Penn's farmer and founder Scott Meyer, featuring a one mile walking tour with focus on our native live oaks, olive and mayhaw trees.

Succulent Gardening: The succulent gardening class is a hands on, interactive and informative class discussing the history of succulents, what succulents are, how to properly care and support succulents, and how to select particular succulents for your space.

Cocktail Cruise: Join Scott on a cocktail cruise through the farm! Hop on a farm wagon and enjoy three delectable beverages and good company while exploring the farm grounds. Along the way, learn the art of crafting cocktails with spirits from Manifest Distilling and Congaree and Penn's own shrubs.

Must be 21+. Please drink responsibly. Uber and Lyft happily drive passengers safely to and from the farm.

Sunset Cruise: Join Scott & Eric for a sunset cruise through the farm!  There’s no better way to enjoy a sunset on the farm than on a tractor pulled wagon ride throughout Congaree and Penn’s acres. Grab a beverage of choice from the farm taproom, hop on the wagon, sit back and unwind on a 45 minute rendezvous.
