- 4 to 6 vanilla beans
- 8 ounces alcohol (vodka, brandy, rum or bourbon)
Split the vanilla beans in half lengthwise. Place the beans in a jar and cover with alcohol. Allow to sit for 4 to 8 weeks. Once a week turn the bottle (don’t shake) in your hand a couple of times to mix the juices. You can remove the beans if you like or you can leave them in the jar.
