Write Around the Corner at Down to Earth
Women Writing for (a) Change, Jax is teaming up with Down to Earth Farm and The Sierra Club for another "Write Around the Corner" event. This "Write + Hike + Eat," includes a 1.5-hour workshop on journaling techniques to use on the hiking trail, followed by an all-organic potluck and a private hike on the Down to Earth Farm trails with the host and intrepid organic farmer, Brian Lapinski. He'll show attendees all of his wonderful vegetable farm amid the flora and fauna of Jacksonville's westside. And there will be chickens. And goats. And organic veggies.
Both men and women are welcome to attend this event.
Proceeds will benefit the City of Jacksonville’s Parks and Recreation Department, to be used to help educate the community on conserving and honoring the green spaces of our city.
