Dinner at Pogos Kitchen on Amelia Island
Chef Alan Heckman has crafted a menu that showcases the best of southern flavors.

Nestled amongst moss-draped trees and Amelia Island's old Florida charm, Pogo's Kitchen is a delightfully contemporary space where tasteful design meets a well-executed menu full of distinctly southern flavor in Fernandina Beach. Executive Chef Alan Heckman's menu showcases new twists on timeless favorites bringing a series of national accolades with him to Northeast Florida. Inspired by a 1940's cast of cartoon characters that gather in a kitchen to share meals amidst the Okefenokee Swamp, Pogo's Kitchen is a nod to the past, while bringing culinary creativity to the present. Classic menu items like simple cornbread are reinvented with jalapeno jam and cilantro butter. Hush puppies get a touch of refinement with the addition of lobster, and entrees like Mole Roasted Chicken and Butternut Squash will keep adventurous diners from ever feeling bored. Lunch and dinner are served weekly, and weekend service includes brunch.
