One Spark, now “The World’s Largest Idea Fest”, is back and calling all Creators to share their best and brightest ideas and innovations at the newly redesigned festival. One Spark 2018 takes place April 6-7 at EverBank Field in Daily’s Place amphitheater, the newest entertainment destination in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. One Spark will transform the venue into “Idea City,” an entirely new experience for Creators and attendees.

One Spark, the year-round organization focused on entrepreneurs, is accepting Creator applications through March 4, 2018. During the festival, Creators will share their innovations on a national scale. In return, Creators will receive real market feedback, promote individual crowdfunding platforms and compete for cash and sponsor prizes.

One Spark leadership announced that 2018 will launch an entirely different event than seen in previous years. “We’re excited to host and present this year’s new vision for One Spark at Daily’s Place,” said One Spark Ventures President Chris Carter. “This state-of-the-art facility will provide Creators and attendees with a world-class experience and access to convenient parking, free Wi-Fi, more food and beverage options and offers Creators’ exhibits protection from outside elements.”

Another feature of One Spark 2018 is the addition of a fifth Creator zone called LifeSpark*. This new category will feature ideas that target consumers, including innovations for everyday life—gadgets, services, food and beverage, art, music and fashion. Other Creator zones include MindSpark*, to focus on innovation in education, TechSpark*, to showcase ideation for new technologies, HealthSpark*, to feature healthcare innovations and WorldSpark*, to encompass global causes, services and ideas for social change and good. At least 150 Creators will be chosen via free online applications to participate.

Voting will play a large role at One Spark 2018. Attendees will have the ability to vote for their favorite Creator ideas, which will determine the 2018 “Creator of the Year.” Winners will receive cash awards and prize packs including services from event sponsors. In addition to voting, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Creators through a mobile optimized web-app, where they can provide feedback and offer ideas and support.

Additionally, a revamped “Spark Tank” competition will take place this year. Select Creators will be chosen by a panel of judges to compete for the opportunity to take their projects to the next level. During the competition, judges will provide feedback and guidance before selecting the top Creator in each zone. Winners will be awarded $5,000 and advanced to the Spark Tank Championship. The live championship will take place on the Daily’s Place stage, to conclude the festival on Saturday, April 7. The championship winner will receive an additional $20,000.

There is no cost for potential Creators to apply; however, Creators selected to attend will be required to pay $125 to showcase at the event. Those wishing to apply should visit OneSpark.com/creator to find information and the Creator application before submission closes on March 4, 2018.
