Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Hari came to the U.S. to pursue his academic career. While working as an associate professor of mathematics at Stetson University, he decided to go back to school and become a chef. A four-time semifinalist for a James Beard Best Chef award, Hari and his wife Jenneffer opened and operated Cress Restaurant in DeLand for 10 years. In addition to teaching, Hari is the founder and CEO of Global Cooking School.
