Long time Jacksonvillian, Matt grew up in a family that’s always gathered around the table, and he’s worked in the industry, predominantly as a chef, for 20+ years. His insatiable desire for spice paired with some lifelong friendships drew him to various Latin cultures, eventually leading him to start this first entrepreneurial endeavor, Taqueria Cinco. Every bite, every experience is a product of something he’s inspired by, whether it’s the love of gathering or the art of how huitlacoche is harvested.
