Enjoy the charms of Fernandina Beach with an exquisite meal at Burlingame Restaurant.

Amelia Island will host the 12th Annual Restaurant Week, a 10-day, island-wide culinary celebration with special events and fixed lunch and dinner menus at many of the destination’s most popular and award-winning dining establishments. The pre-fixe menus for lunch are just $12 per person, with dinner pre-fixe menus priced at either $21, $31 or $41 per person. Menus, restaurant listings, special event information and discounted hotel packages can be found online at AmeliaIsland.com/yummy.

The week’s festivities begin Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. with a “Prelude of Culinary Heritage” Kickoff Dinner at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, a preview of the resort’s newest restaurant, Coquina. Inspired by the island’s Eight Flags lore, this event will highlight the dynamic flavors and bold, free spirits of Amelia Island’s Spanish heritage. Tickets are $89 per person, with a portion of proceeds benefitting St. Mary’s Riverkeeper. Advanced reservations are required and can be made by calling 904-277-1087.

Also at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island this year, the AAA Five-Diamond restaurant Salt will be offering a Chef’s Adventure menu. Chef Rick Laughlin and his team are offering a one-of-a-kind personalized experience, giving guests a blind-tasting geared to their unique preferences. This tasting menu comes with a complimentary champagne toast and a signature gift from the Chef. The Chef’s Adventure menu is $120 per guest, with an optional +$55 Sommelier-paired wine. Call 904-277-1087 for reservations.

New this year, The Addison House will host a cheesemaking class Jan. 17 -20. The 3-day class includes all materials, cheese to take home and a gift certificate to Burlingame Restaurant for Saturday (Jan. 18) evening. The fee for the class is $400 per person, in addition to their room reservation. To book this cheese lover’s delight, call 904-277-1604.

On Saturday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m., the Story & Song Bookstore Bistro will serve the perfect pairing of food and music with acclaimed singer/songwriter Rupert Wates and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $41 and can be purchased in advanced at the bookstore or by calling 904-601-2118.

Restaurant Week culminates with the “Farm to Table Rebirth” finale dinner on Jan. 25 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Executive Chef Todd Ruiz, along with his team of chefs and resident chickens, will craft a five-course dinner with egg dishes as the showcased ingredient, drawing inspiration from his popular Sprouting Project Dinner. The evening is $91.46 per person and tickets can be purchased at TicketBud.com.
