Jean Dowdy

Jean is a co-owner of Southern Horticulture in St. Augustine, a family-owned nursery and landscaping company since 1979, which happily specializes in organic gardening techniques, supplies and pest controls, as well as Florida-Friendly and native landscape installations. She has been associated in the horticulture field since the 1970s, following a B.S. degree in agriculture from Berea College in Kentucky and post-graduate studies in plant physiology at Iowa State University. Jean's hobbies include tending a rather unruly vegetable garden and wishing she could play the cello.
