Katie put her writing career on hold in 2008, when she moved to Scotland, and pursued her dream of becoming a professional chef. Working in some of Glasgow’s finest restaurants for the next five years, she solidified her passion for food and learned her way around a cutting board. Katie spends her days working as a copywriter and social media manager in Jacksonville and her nights dreaming up delicious recipes and trying to get her three year old to eat something other than chicken nuggets.
