Maxine Reid

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Maxine was Dietary Supervisor for River Garden Hebrew Home for the Aged in Mandarin for 45 years before she retired. During most of that time she worked with her sister, Rosetta Borden (left in photo), who was Head Cook and Production Supervisor at the Home for 43 years. Maxine is known for the pies she bakes for
every family gathering.
