What do you get when you put six pastry chefs in the kitchen for a holiday bake-off, each vying for the title of Best Cookie? Turns out, everyone walks away a winner! At least, that was the case during the annual Omni Amelia Island Plantation Holiday Traditions Cookie Competition this year. Food-savvy judges selected Reindeer Macarons by Chef Paige Murray as their favorite, but all the sweet treats were quickly devoured by those in attendance. Want to judge for yourself? Not a baker? You can still sample each of the entries and give back to those in need, by visiting the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Pop-Up Cookie Shop on November 30. All proceeds from cookie sales will benefit Feeding America Northeast Florida in partnership with the Omni’s Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative.
