Sweet Petes Candy in Downtown Jacksonville
Sweet Pete’s Candy is a one-stop destination in Downtown Jacksonville for candy, cocktails & whimsy!

Sweet Pete’s Candy is the fantastical creation of Jacksonville-based husband and wife, Allison & Peter Behringer. First opened in 2010, the store operated out of a 2,000 sq ft house in Springfield. Peter’s scrumptious, colorful and handcrafted candies steadily gained attention and notoriety in the Jacksonville area. In 2014, Sweet Pete’s was featured on the CNBC hit reality series The Profit. Out of thousands of businesses, the host of the show, Marcus Lemonis, chose to work with Sweet Pete’s, and a natural partnership flourished.

Today, you can find Sweet Pete’s located in downtown Jacksonville inside a beautiful, historic building previously known as the Seminole Club. At 23,000 sq ft, this candy emporium manufactures a line of handcrafted quality chocolates and sells over a thousand different types of candies. The location boasts three floors where you will find a full restaurant and bar, an ice cream parlor and a toy store, all under one roof! The interactive candy factory is gluten-friendly, offering plenty of options for people with dietary restrictions. From Pecan Caramel Clusters, to their #1 seller, Sea Salt Caramels, the candy factory will have your mouth watering and your sweet-tooth filled!

Sweet Pete’s is also masterful at providing fun, hands-on, interactive experiences; candy classes, kids camps, private parties, fieldtrips and more. The team at Pete's loves to share their love of candy-making and at any one of their classes, their enthusiasm shows. Everyday, there is also a 30-minute guided tour at the factory, where guests can design their own chocolate bars to take home. We'll worth the visit!

Finally, have a large group and want to catch up before dinner downtown? Book a pre-dinner Happy Hour at the factory with a private room, cocktails and an appetizer at a very reasonable price (not to mention colorful murals and delightful whimsical decor). Or, stay for dinner with Chef Roderick "Pete" Smith at MLG Jacksonville. Chef Pete has been a long-time culinary name in Jacksonville and brings Southern know-how with an upscale twist to the menu and will not disappoint.
