Pizza kits from Prati Italia and other locally produced foods are available at Native Sun in Jax Beach.

When owner Aaron Gottlieb reopened Native Sun store in Jacksonville Beach just before COVID-19 disrupted access to restaurants and artisan products, the plan was already underway to offer more locally produced food in the market. He explained the strategy recently as a guest on First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross, providing details on the new layout of the store and a list of some of the community businesses partnering with Native Sun. Now, along with grab-and-go meals prepared in-house at Native Sun, you can find items from these local producers and restaurants, with more being added in the future: Bethesda Farm, Community Loaves, Delicomb, Fit Fab Foods, House of Leaf & Bean, Prati Italia, Present Moment Cafe, Shakti Life Kitchen, Southern Roots Filling Station, Sweet Theory Baking Co. and Wainwright Dairy.

Gottlieb, explaining that the restaurants are part of what makes our community so enriching, said "we have a chance to make our foods the best they've ever been, while we're highlighting great companies and really showcasing what the city needs to protect."
